Integrating HiPath BizIP into the existing infrastructure is simplicity itself:

1. Plug the access device BizIP AD 20 into your DSL modem, ISDN connection, LAN switch, and power supply.

2. Connect the BizIP phones (and your PC) to your LAN switch and a power

supply (either Power over Ethernet or a wall outlet) - and you're already set for internal calls

3. Open a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) to contact the BizIP AD 20 and perform system setup. The intelligent installation assistant will guide you through all the basic setup tasks (internet and ISDN access, assigning extension numbers)

Click on the graphic for a configuration overview. HiPath BizIP utilises peer-to-peer technology to perform voice communication via your company's data network (Voice over IP). Communicating directly without the use of a server, the powerful BizIP phones form the network's main components. The BizIP access device handles communication with the public voice and data networks (ISDN, DSL). External communication is possible via a service provider's VoIP numbers, ISDN lines or both.

Analog devices such as cordless phones or fax can be integrated in your network through the access device. You can also use your PC with BizIP's provided CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) interface to conveniently dial (e.g. from an address database or list of missed calls).
