The latest Datasharp arrival on the call centres scene was officially opened today in King's Lynn by Mr George Pratt, Mayor and first citizen of King's Lynn and West Norfolk.

The new office in Chapel Street, Datasharp Telecom (Eastern) Ltd, sees a move into the local call centres scene by former local MP George Turner.

Given the convergence of voice and data he sees his new role as a natural development from an earlier background as Head of Electronics at the University of East Anglia.

George's fellow Director (of Operations) is Shona Cranna who was formerly his Parliamentary Casework Manager. They head up a growing sales and support team with widely experienced senior engineer Andy Everitt who will take responsibility for the engineering division.

At the opening ceremony the Mayor took the time to speak to all the staff and wished the new venture well. He said "Good communications is an essential ingredient to business success. I am sure Datasharp will play a very positive role in helping many call centres businesses achieve that objective."

Responding George Turner thanked the Mayor for his interest and good wishes.
He reminded those present that although new to West Norfolk, the Datasharp group has had more than 20 years of experience. He said "This new office will follow in the Datasharp tradition of commitment to value for money and helping our customers exploit the latest products in the fast changing communications market."
